Yeah, it's just email scraping, anyone can preform email scraping, although some people and tools are better at it then others, many sites have firewalls in place to try to block IP's attempting to scrape them or parse through the site looking for things this is just a small fraction of the thousands of email addresses he could have obtained, but its still pretty cool though, if someone is really good at phishing they can use these.
